Auth by is a windows machine that taught me quite a bit on how to think like a hacker, this is one of my weak points since sometimes as pen testers we do not find technical vulnerabilities we have to find things that give us hint on what to do next. In this case the FTP server exposed usernames of FTP Users and with a little brute forcing and guessing we were able to gain access to the ftp server and then gain an initial foothold.
